Online Learning with Dancing Drum: It’s exciting! It’s fun! It’s a new adventure for everyone!
We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe during this challenging time. We’d like nothing more than for schools to reopen, classes to resume, and lives to return to normal for all of us, as soon as it’s safe.
Here at Dancing Drum, we’re making the best of things by using this time to develop new online learning opportunities for you and your students. We’re actually really excited about this and can’t wait to share with you!

Virtual School Drum Day (VSDD)
We’re developing a new approach to delivering School Drum Day to students at home, using a web-based meeting website that will allow up to 500 students to participate with Dancing Drum in real-time, from their own devices. We’ll have a preview video that students can watch the day before their SDD workshop that shows how to make a variety of percussion instruments from common household materials, and we will meet with students of the same grade level together, just like the real SDD. Online Lesson Modules
We’re busy creating a selection of online lesson modules designed for students and teachers learning at home. The first should be ready sometime in May. If you’d like to know as soon as new activities become available, sign up here! Some of the content that we’re planning to release has been in development for awhile, and if you download and use our materials, we’d welcome your feedback about how you used them and how they could be improved for future publication.
