Djole Xylophone Ensemble

Djole (JOH-lay) is a rhythm, dance, and song played by the Temne (TEM-knee) people in the countries of Sierra Leone and Guinea, West Africa. Used for celebrations and mask dances, the Djole rhythm is traditionally played on djembe, djun-djun (dundun) drums, and balafon, an African xylophone.

This arrangement adds xylophone melodies to the rhythms of the Djole Drum Ensemble. Including streaming video and sheet music for Learning Levels 1-4, it culminates in the Level 4 "Full Arrangement" with parts for High Xylophone (HX), Low Xylophone (LX), Stick Drums (SD), Hand Drums (HD), Shakers (SH), and Block (BL) - perfect for Orff ensembles with xylophones and drums!

This music is also featured in Dancing Drum's book, "The Rhythm Is Here!"

Your purchase includes a 1-year subscription to "Djole Xylophone Ensemble", with streaming video, PDF sheet music, and background content.
